This post covers the COVID-19 advance payment program for independent health facilities.

The Ministry of Health (ministry) recognizes that Independent Health Facilities (IHFs) are a critical partner in the fight against COVID-19. The ministry is committed to working with IHFs who have been affected by the outbreak, including those who are unable to deliver their regular types of services during this time.

The ministry is establishing an advance payment program to provide payments to eligible IHFs to address any cash flow issues that may arise during the COVID-19 outbreak. This will ensure IHFs have funding available to sustain their operations during this difficult time and enable them to return to regular operation as soon as the outbreak begins to subside.
